The suite processes the files in lossless formats such as FLAC. It checks if they have been upgraded from regular files such as MP4 or OGG, or if they have been originally recorded in high quality. The built-in decoder unpacks complex files in a designated directory and analyzes components.
auCDtect Task Manager is a free GUI tool that lets you check if your lossless audio files were upconverted from a "lossy" file format. auCDtect Task Manager uses external 3-rd party decoders to unpack the files being tested into temporary directory, whereupon authenticity of unpacked .wav files is tested by external auCDtect tool.
